About the Author

“Never say never and never walk away.” This is my moto these days and I’m following it to the letter.

Having both a B.S. degree and a Masters degree, I decided the best course of action was (of course) to pursue a writing career.  Having spent my formative years writing, I slowly pursued a more realistic career path and found my way back again. I spent 12 years working in clinical therapy, court advocacy, and political work. Yes I said it- I worked in politics, writing and researching legislation. My truest passion has always been writing. It’s a form of expression for me; a way to educate others and convey what I know, and for me to help others through my words.

Now I’m using my love of helping others and writing about it. I just finished writing a 415 page fiction novel; book one of three novels for this series. I have also been part of two research teams. The first was a research study on EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as a memory aide and is in preparation for publication in the EMDR Journal of Psychology. The second is a current research study looking at the affects of childhood trauma and it’s connection with adult obesity. This particular research study is current and on-going.

As for the rest of my life: I have a love for outdoor sports; rowing, hiking, horse back riding and soccer in particular. I have a strong love of animals and am a big advocate of the World Wildlife Foundation and Rudy’s Rescue Center. I myself have two dogs( chocolate labs) and a cat. I love life, photography, food and really good wine.  I’m married and have a wonderful family.  My husband and I love to travel and have been to many places.

Along with my food blog Digestion Suggestion, I work as the Associate Publisher for Buffalo Healthy Living magazine and as a freelance writer for national publications. As I continue to pursue this path of mine I will go at it with full gusto and will develop in my media writing as I grow as a writer in general. I consider myself a fairly private person so writing about me has been a challenge.  I hope you enjoy my website!
