2013 Buffalo Italian Festival

Just a reminder that The Buffalo Italian Festival started yesterday! Running from August 1-4th, this festival offers a little something for everyone. One of the nation’s largest Italian street festivals, they celebrate their 26th anniversary on Hertel Avenue, in North Buffalo’s Little Italy. The festival or “festa” in Italian, will include local entertainment, bocce, Italian Idol contest, cultural demonstrations, crafts, kids activities, Miss Italian Festival, grape stomping contests and Sicilian puppet shows to name just a few of the special events! Oh and lets not forget about the food! From rice balls to cannoli’s, from homemade soups to worldwide cheeses; there is a taste of something for everyone. This year the Italian festa will be offering cooking demonstrations, click here for the schedule.
